About
Jakob Boije is a Swedish-born designer, entrepreneur, and investor based in Sydney. He is the co-founder and Chief Business Officer of FOS Medical, an AI-accelerated radiopharmaceutical company working on precision diagnostics for brain, blood, and lung cancers. He is also the founder of FarGrit, a venture and advisory practice focused on healthcare AI and deep tech.
Jakob's career began in industrial and UX design — physical products, digital interfaces, and design strategy across European and American markets. He founded Peekaboo Design, a customer experience firm acquired by Ergonomidesign Stockholm (Red Dot Design Team of Year), and Veryday New York, a life science product design agency focused on pharma, medtech, and advanced surgery, which was acquired by McKinsey & Co.
At McKinsey, Jakob was an Expert Associate Partner leading design and customer experience within the Life Sciences practice — advising global pharma, medtech, and advanced surgery clients on R&D strategy, AI-assisted clinical trial acceleration, HCP and patient engagement, and commercial launch across oncology, immunology, cardiovascular, and neurology.
The through-line across design, consulting, and founding: a focus on how customers actually experience complex systems — and how to make those systems work better. That lens now applies to healthcare AI.
Jakob is an angel investor through ExM Investment Partners, focused on medical ventures and healthcare AI. He has lived in New York (6 years) and Sydney (5 years), and is married to an Australian.
He writes about healthcare AI, venture building, design strategy, and the Australian deep tech ecosystem.
